step 2 (Three Simple Tenses)

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim

Let’s scream together
“English, Yes we like it, Yes we do really love it”
Hmmm, meet me again. How are you doing my lovely friends? I am happy to see your smile. You seem you are ready to learn English today. Don’t be bored because our lesson today is going to be more interesting.
Guys, sometimes you want to try to speak in English to your friend for improving your speaking skill but you are confused about your grammar or maybe you are shy to speak in English. Why should you be confused or shy? Why do you get confusion? Because you don’t master the simple tenses yet. Why do you get shyness? Because English is not your national language and you think all people will guess that you are conceited (the condition in Indonesia). That is not important for you to think. What you need is English, so if you want to get what you need you have to do everything because your need brings you to be better for future.

I am here for studying together with you and I am going to tell you about precious knowledge. But before telling you this precious knowledge, there is one requirement for you to fill it in order to get the knowledge. Ooo please don’t be angry! The requirement is not very difficult. Do you know what it is? Just give your sweet smile to me then I will give everything to you. Smile please . . . ^_^
Lovely friends, as we know that all tenses are sixteen. And you have a fear to continue your English to learn. Sixteen tenses with many problems, Oh NO! Well, well, well, I am here to help you for making all things become easier and easier. What you have to do is stay here in my blog and smile when you read every single sentence. Very easy, very simple. Now, I give some instructions.
  • Close your eyes
  • Try to think there are no sixteen tenses right now
  • Include in your mind, only three tenses in this world to learn
  • Only three tenses
  • Be quite for a while
  • Open your eyes
  • Say “I am ready to study three tenses”!
Good job guys. Thanks for doing the instructions. I will not force you to learn more with me but I am pretty sure you are readier than some steps before. Yahoo! I see your smile. There are only three tenses in this world, who does say it? Nurdayaningtyas says it. Do you believe in her? Yeah, you must! This trick will bring you to the easy way to master English. Well lovely friends, I am going to tell you. Please look at this!

Past time     ->     Present time     ->     Future time

What you should do is understand this chart. Only simple chart. From this chart you have to know there are only three times, they are past time, present time and future time. So, is Nurdayaningtyas right? Yes, she is. From three times, means three tenses. Very easy, really. So please, understand what I am going to write but you don’t need to memorize. Just see, understand and practice them when you speak to your friends.
  1. Simple Present Tense
Is one of three simple tenses which shows the event that usually and/ often happens every time and factual
    Subject + Infinitive (s/es for she/he/it) + Object
To be of tense for Simple Present Tense: do and does are used for negative statement and interrogative
Eg: I always play a guitar after coming back from school but my sister does her homework directly. My mom does not work, she stays at home. My daddy works at his office from Monday till Friday. My daddy spends his time together with us every Saturday and Sunday. My Parents always ask my sister and me “where do you like to go this weekend?”
  2. Simple Past Tense
Is one of three simple tenses which shows the event that happened a while ago or in the past time
    Subject + Verb 2 + Object
To be of tense for Simple Past Tense: was and were are used for showing noun and/ adjective and interrogative (was and were are ‘to be’ too in a past context) & did is used for negative statement and interrogative
Eg: Tono had a holiday 2 weeks ago with his family. When he wanted to come back to Yogyakarta, he did not be able to walk because he got sprain. His mother-in-law asked “why did not you be careful?”
  3. Simple Future Tense
Is one of three simple tenses which shows the event that will happen and will do
Subject + to be + Infinitive + Object
To be of tense for Simple Future Tense: will and shall are used for positive statement, negative statement and interrogative
Eg: Linda and Paijo will go to the Bali next month. They will do their work in Bali. They will visit Bangka Belitung Island after finishing their work. But they are confused, how long will they stay in Bangka Belitung Island?
Hello guys! Wow, you are very spirit, as same with me. If you want to talk to your friend in a simple sentence, don’t be confused. You only need to use these three simple tenses. Simple Present Tense, Simple Past Tense and Simple Future Tense. Well, I have an information to you. Here you can get ‘to be’ of tense of these simple tenses are: do, does, was, were, did, will, and shall. Hmmm, don’t need to memorize it. Just what? Just understand and practice it when you speak. Okay my lovely friends, the lesson is over. Yaaaah, Huuuuuuft! Well, well, we will meet again in an interesting material later on. Let smile together ^_^ because English is fun.
